Listen - I understand that if you haven’t recognised your inner critic’s influence you will find it hard to hold onto any successes or good results. You will only feel as good as the last project you have had, so your confidence never feels permanent.
You may have tried looking for a quick fix or reading information about confidence and leadership, but it’s hard to put into action. Business coaches are great for the functional aspects but may not connect the inner critic’s voice and the block to inner confidence, I can promise you no one achieves their goals by dwelling on the past.
But what I do know is that juggling multiple demands makes it hard to prioritise your needs and the thought of opening up in front of a group might feel uncomfortable at first, but facing these barriers together make it achievable….
Fake it till you make it doesn't work.
Without tackling the problem of your inner critic, you’ll always feel like a fraud. Anxiety is therefore seen as a problem that you need to hide as it proves that you’re a fake.
The difference in my approach is understanding how you talk to yourself and how thoughts are not facts. You can then push yourself out of your comfort zone and learn to trust yourself again. There’s always anxiety in change, but you don’t need to equate this as being a fake or a fraud. Naturally you learn that mistakes are part of learning and anxiety is normal, so you can focus instead on the skills you’re developing
Focusing on your mental health and wellbeing is not a weakness.
Being part of a small elite group of women within the goal-setting session means learning happens in multiple ways. It’s not just the material and steps that I’ll be sharing. You will all be sharing your skills and experiences and struggles with the other group members that allows you to really appreciate that you’re not alone and that there are common thought patterns. You can then finally let go of the self judgement that holds you back.
When you try some of the strategies in the session, there’s built in accountability that can keep you on track. Sharing your knowledge with like minded women builds your own confidence in what you already know. Others can also discuss their successes along the way that can prompt you to try things out and build optimism and hope that you can overcome self doubt and self criticism for good
The inner critic remains embedded within your perception of yourself and the world around you. You are blinkered and don’t realise it. Waiting for your mind to suddenly become less negative is unrealistic without putting in some of the work required to change. Why wait and be left behind – you will lose out on opportunities at work and also be suffering in silence from anxiety and self doubt.

I'm going to blend mindfulness and restructuring your thoughts in a step by step process. You will see that you aren't your thoughts and thoughts aren't facts so your opinions are open to change. Your success is not defined by others and when you let go of worrying about what others think, you're free to define success your way. If you don't try then nothing changes anyway.
